Dr. Ashish Patel
Dr. Ashish Patel founded Silo Eye Care with the belief that patients deserve the time, attention, and personalized care needed to make informed decisions about their eye health. After years of caring for patients, he envisioned a practice built on genuine relationships, advanced technology, and a commitment to lifelong vision care.
Raised in the small town of Columbus, Texas, Dr. Patel comes from a family with deep agricultural roots. The values of hard work, service, integrity, and stewardship that shaped his upbringing continue to guide his patient-first approach to care today.
Dr. Patel earned his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University and his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry. He has extensive experience in comprehensive eye care, specialty contact lenses, surgical co-management, and advanced medical optometry, having worked alongside both optometrists and ophthalmologists throughout his career.
He provides care for patients of all ages and specializes in the diagnosis and management of conditions including glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, cataracts, dry eye disease, pediatric myopia, and eye infections and injuries.
Dr. Patel believes the best outcomes begin with prevention, education, and strong patient relationships. By combining advanced technology with a personalized approach, he strives to help every patient feel informed, comfortable, and confident in their care.
Outside the office, he enjoys traveling, reading, exploring new recipes, and spending time with family and friends. He is proud to serve the Austin community and looks forward to caring for generations of patients and families at Silo Eye Care.
